 Adam Donnelly and his twin sister Abigail were born during one of the hottest summers New York City had seen in some time. Their parents were a virtual modern day Romeo and Juliet who had been banned from seeing one another and got pregnant by accident just a few months before they graduated high school.
Being that he was born to a pair of teenagers, his beginning was humble, if not meager. Granted, he had his aunt/uncle Jas who helped his parents out so that his mom could go to college, but they never had much. They lived pay check to paycheck, he and Abby were raised to appreciate everything they have or have ever had.
From an early age, his most consistent babysitter, "Auntie Jas" his cross dressing god mother/father got him heavily into the stage and all forms of theatrics. Not that it was difficult, growing up in New York City, theatre was practically in his blood. Even though neither of his parents did it.
Even though she was about to have twins, his mother Isabella kept her scholarship to Columbia University and worked her ass off to go to school during the day. His father and "auntie" watched he and his sister and then at night his dad went to work so that they could stay afloat.
Izzy got her degree as a teacher and forced her soon-to-be husband, Patrick to at least get his AA from a community college so that he could get better jobs.
However, with the recent economic downturn, even Izzy who is a high school teacher was having trouble finding work. She got a job teaching at Corona del Mar High school and the family packed up and moved across country. Being that this is one of the richest towns in the country and they have next to no month, they live in an apartment NEAR Newport, actually in Costa Mesa. Adam and Abby are only allowed to go to CdM because their mother teaches there.
The twins have two younger siblings, one boy, and one girl. Ages 10 and 7.
Adam is a very humble, very down to earth guy with a great sense of humor. He can find good in almost anything and is accepting of all types of people, since his Godfather is a cross dressing Go-Go Dancer at a gay club. |
